Plants are the source of numerous bioactive substances. These bioactive substances are very useful for human health. Medicinal plants are a rich source of antioxidants. They are helpful in reducing oxidative stress. Keeping in the view of oxidative stress, we have undergone an experiment to determine the antioxidant activity of B. monosperma and T. cordifolia. The antioxidant activity was measured by the DPPH test and the FRAP test. Both the extracts showed a remarkable anti-oxidant effect. This dissertation work covers the biochemical and biological properties of B. monosperma and T. cordifolia. These plants have been used for the treatment of various disorders.
