Over the years, development of better welding flux compositions in terms of mechanical properties and productivity is sensational research work for researchers.The present book shows the work is an attempt to study the effect of additives in flux with different percentage using basicity index on the hydrogen induced cracking and mechanical properties like tensile strength, Impact strength, micro hardness, microstructure, of weld bead made during the submerged arc welding. The effect of different kind of fluxes by keeping the welding parameters like welding current, welding voltage and welding speed constant has been evaluated for the different weld joints.
