An aging population is leading to a greater prevalence of chronic pathologies affecting swallowing in the elderly. The speech therapists at the PSLA in Honfleur (Calvados) have developed a program inspired by therapeutic education, comprising workshops providing theoretical and practical information on swallowing and nutrition, with the aim of enabling patients to acquire skills that will enable them to live better with their disease and prevent complications linked to swallowing disorders, thereby improving their nutrition and quality of life. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of a program inspired by therapeutic education on the quality of life and nutritional status of adult dysphagia patients, using the SWAL-QOL questionnaire and weight measurement. An online questionnaire on the interest and feasibility of this project was also proposed. The patients questioned would like this therapeutic education program to improve their quality of life. Isn't ensuring a good quality of life for our patients our priority as caregivers?
