HDP is one year duration on-the job training of teacher educators all over the country. Its focus is on enhancing teacher s professionalism and thereby improve student learning. Specifically the training gives due attention to training teacher educators in the areas of reflective practice, active learning, continuous assessment and action research. As part of the training there is also a school placement of the trainees aimed at practical experiencing of schools for which they train teachers.
