This book encourages churches and church people to become active in their communities as centers of public activity and to engage in service for their communities. Autor

John received his Theology & Ethics degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and his M.A. degree in Political Science from Stanford University. He spent several years as a Presdyterian pastor before taking up a career in financial services. He continues his interest in religion and ethics and has studied and written articles in the interim. John also writes about environmental issues and hosts a radio program WILDERNESS & WILDLIFE with a companion website: www.jswilderness5.net.
