The R- factor is a multi-annual average index that measures rainfalls kinetic energy and intensity to describe the effect of rainfall on sheet and rill erosion. Rainfall erosivity index is an important index to evaluate the soil loss due to rainfall. Research on rainfall erosivity index is important in understanding the mechanism of soil erosion processes.Rainfall erosivity for Dediapada region is calculate by Daily, Monthly, and Annually erosivity equations. The rainfall erosivity is directly proportional to rainfall amount. As the rainfall amount increases, rainfall erosivity increases.
