The opening poem in that section "As You Snooze," was published at The Virgin Islands in a publication titled "The Caribbean Writer." The title poem "Essay on Water," was first published at Michigan St. University in a literary magazine titled "Sound Edition" in their issue on "Water" published by the university library. His poem "Pyromaniac" was publish in Canada, by Plowman Press, and his poems "For They Will Know Us By Our Love," Original Description," and "The Umber Haze Of Summer" were published in Swansea, Wales.
