And it's in this very battle between life and death that the girl, in a hallucinated inner monologue, tries to remember her history. In the dreamlike space and time of the coma she has fallen into she pieces together her journey that, ten years before, brought her from a poor African village to Italy with the promise of education and more dignified life conditions. However, in Italy she doesn't find anything else but the horror of pedophilia and prostitution, she's abused, humiliated, manipulated by a network of wealthy and empty, anonymous and corrupted people.
