Associated with environmental degradation, the lack of planning of geographic spaces contributes to the generation of conflicts and complex problems due to the inter-relationship between the various actors responsible for land occupation and environmental components. The environmental management of a natural resource, in a predominantly industrial environment located in a port complex, can make use of the watershed as a planning and management unit. This proposed management model was preceded by an environmental diagnosis, a survey of industrial activities and urban occupations around a watershed, which allowed the definition of actions, guidelines and goals for an integrated management in the search for improvement of environmental quality of the area of influence.
