Most of the security problems are a result of using Open Networks, Poor Software Design, and Integration of large systems without concern for security. However, with so many security options available, many organizations are not so keen in struggling to identify the best ways to counteract the threats they face. Unfortunately, for many of these programs, managing security risk has become more about quantity than quality. As it has matured, the e-commerce security discipline has not very well progressed in recognizing the importance of things like holistic approach to securing e-commerce technologies, processes, people, and other organizational factors on an enterprise scale.
