The results of the study are both revealing and instructive, offering information for innovating English instruction in not only Taiwan but also other countries where English is taught by both local and foreign teachers. The study brings to light the differences in teaching values between local and foreign English teachers, such as contrasting methods of assessment. By comparing the students' responses, the study offers some original insights into classroom management and how teaching and learning conflicts may be resolved.
