English for Medical Sciences is a technical English course book for students studying Medicine, or any other subdivisions of the Medical Sciences. The book is aimed to enhance knowledge of medical terminology and enhance reading comprehension and vocabulary skills, while practicing the listening skill at the same time. Topics covered in each unit are among the most common in the field of medicine, including medical virology, medical ethics, regenerative medicine, and nano-medicine. Guided exercises follow each reading passage to help the students check their understanding of the text and practice the new vocabulary items. TED Talks selected for each topic are a very efficient way to practice listening skills and become familiar with the topic in each unit.

Autor

Fatemeh Ranjbaran is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Technology and Applied Science in Oman, with over 15 years of experience in higher education. Her research interests include ESP, assessment, and technology in education, for which she has a number of publications, book chapters and international conference presentations.
