This book is basically for the construction of virtual power plant. According to the actual needs of the construction of virtual power plant project, the overall structure of virtual power plant and the selection and configuration of electric energy resources are optimized from the user's demand and the internal and external conditions of the construction. The construction of virtual power plant is based on the digitalization and virtualization of the traditional power business process, and it is a multidisciplinary application of comprehensive technology. From the perspective of power grid operation management and power trading market, virtual power plants built in accordance with unified norms and standards, and meet the architecture and function requirements include distributed generation device, energy storage device and controllable load three types of facilities, at least can achieve power generation prediction, load prediction, power generation and electricity time-sharing planning development, controllable load management, the control and management of energy storage device, coordinated optimization of distributed generation, condition monitoring and communication, data acquisition, and analysis and other new functions. From the perspective of installation and construction area, the virtual power plant is a highly intelligent and highly flexible adaptive power plant, which is not limited to a unified geographical location and site, but distributed in different locations of the power grid. This book mainly includes planning of construction scale, control architecture, design of distributed energy resource, communication network, data hardware platform, intelligent application, as the guiding principle of planning and design work in the construction and implementation process of virtual power plant.

Autor

Feng Yao majored in Electrical Engineering and International Management, BA, Tianjin University, China, 1989–1993.   From 1993–2003,   Feng Yao was a design engineer for over 50 power project at home and abroad and chief design engineer, North China Power Engineering, Beijing, China, 2003–2010.  And Feng Yao in charge of high-technology development and intelligent IP dealing for desalination, desulfurization, direct Cooling condenser, DCS by Siemenz, etc. Feng Yao  was a manager in Beijing International Electric Engineering, Beijing, China, 2010–2023.
