Silva is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Portuguese and Comparative Literature at Middlebury College, USA. He is the author of Subjectivity and the Reproduction of Imperial Power: Empire's Individuals and co-editor of Lima Barreto: New Critical Perspectives.
