There are no absolute guidelines which may be applied to the selection of a particular lighting strategy for most industrial buildings. Most of the European countries are replacing their incandescent lamp by new energy efficient lamp. In India we can save 55 million tons o carbon emission per year by just replacing 400 million less efficient lights such as filament bulbs by new energy efficient lights like CFL, LED.
