Brazil is no stranger to these international concerns and currently has one of the most advanced legislations on the planet. However, given the various social and cultural problems, the state apparatus becomes insignificant to contain the abuse against nature. In addition to all this, there are large companies, which are the biggest polluters of the environment. Divergent theme in the doctrine is the possibility of accountability in the criminal sphere of the legal person. Such a situation demands a deep study. The present work will analyse the criminal liability of the legal person, emphasising the applicable criminal sanctions.
