But injudicious use of these insecticides has resulted in the development of resistance problem and environment pollution therefore, because of unique properties of specifically, safety and biodegradation; microbial insecticides are an attractive alternative to chemical insecticides in insect pest management system. Moreover, the development of resistance to chemical insecticides and concern over the deleterious effects of chemicals on environmental and human safety have provided a strong impetus for the development of microbial control agents for use in integrated controls of these insect pests.
