The purpose of this book is therefore to highlight the effects of an in-service safety-care workshop for teachers on children's accidents in pre-schools. Results of the in-service workshop show positive effects of in-service training of teachers' on children's accidents. However, time lapse after in-servicing of teachers seemed to interfere with their ability to minimize accidents among pre-school children. It is therefore recommended that parents with children in pre-schools and other stakeholders should ensure that teachers are in-serviced regularly in child safety-care so that they can retain techniques on accident prevention acquired during in-servicing. This book will be especially useful for parents with children in pre-school, teachers, school managers and school curriculum developers, to help them ensure maximum protection against accidents among pre-school children who are the main beneficiaries in the study.
