Image compression plays an essential role in the data transmission and data storage. To limit the redundancy of the image, furthermore storage and transmit the information in an effective form is the prime objective of the image compression. Generally, image compression is referred to minimize the number of bits expected to signify an image. With the help of the secret key, concealing the image from an unauthorized access is known as image encryption in that the key can be private or public. With the developing number of images, real-time interactions with the compressed images, their sizes, and variety of their bandwidths, the transmission of the digital images are as yet difficult. Additionally, giving security to images to resist from different data integrity and security attacks is the primary issue of image encryption. To overcome these issues in the image compression and the image encryption a few novel techniques are proposed. Furthermore, the proposed techniques are to provide greater complexity against hackers and it takes less time for the encryption.
