Controlled Source Electromagnetic (CSEM) technology is fast gaining popularity in the petroleum industry due to its complementary role to seismic. Additionally, CSEM is a powerful geophysical method for defining effective parameters of a medium but with conditions to fulfil. The existence of effective parameters of a VTI layered medium has been investigated, using the diffusive CSEM method, under varying conditions of reflection and transmission interactions and anisotropy ratio.

Autor

Jide N. Ogunbo, a Nigerian, had a distinction in bachelor degree in Applied Geophysics at the FUTA; he also did Joint Masters in Applied Geophysics(IDEA League). His passion for better imaging of the subsurface has got him involved in researches related to seismic and complementary geophysical tools, including the Controlled Source Electromagnetic.
