There are various parameters during yarn production which can influence the quality of yarn. Two of them are the traveler weight and spindle speed on a ring spinning machine. This work was undertaken to study the effect of traveler weight and spindle speed on the quality of 21 Ne 100% cotton carded yarn. The C-type travelers were used for this study. Results showed that there was a decrease in the yarn hairiness as the spindle speed and traveler weight at 14000 rpm and 50 milligram respectively.
