This research work was carried out during kharif, 2014 at Department of Natural Resources Management, ASPEE College of Horticulture and Forestry, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari. The present pot trial consisting of 20 treatment combinations involving two varieties was conducted in FCRD with three repetitions. On the basis of present investigation, it appeared that variety GNR - 4 was found superior with respect to grain and straw yields of rice. Soil application of Fe and Zn not only increased the yield of rice but also remarkably increased Fe and Zn content in grain and straw of rice as well as respective DTPA-extractable Fe and Zn in soil after harvest of rice. However, application of Fe and Zn doses for these varieties under clay soils of South Gujarat will be still open for future research programs.
