The primary function of Regulatory T cells (Treg ) was originally defined as prevention of autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis by maintaining self-tolerance. Recent report evidences that arsenic affect Treg cells population. So the authors wants to emphasise in this book that, how arsenic modulate FoxP3 expression which is a master regulator ofTreg cells in Rheumatoid arthritis .This study for the first time suggests that arsenic modulate the Foxp3 gene expression.
