Although under finalization of its principles of application, this present approach displays real possibilities of application for lasting and responsible management of the Algerian fisheries. This survey, after the presentation and the analysis of the fishing activity in Algeria, aims at showing the principles and the advantages of the EAF. The likeness and the divergences of the present management of the fisheries in Algeria with the principles of the EAF will also be discussed.
