Water absorption test, Spilt tensile strength test, Durability test are carried out to evaluate the properties for 28, 28 and 56 days respectively. As a result, this research work is concerned with the experimental investigation on strength of mortar and optimum percentage of the partial replacement by replacing cement via 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Keeping all this view, the aim of the investigation is the behavior ofmortar while replacing cement with different proportions of carbon black powder by the optimum percentage of replacement.
