Environmental stresses such as drought, high salt and low temperature affect plant growth and decrease crop productivity extremely. It is important to improve stress tolerance of the crop plant to increase crop yield under stress conditions. Plants respond and adapt to the drought stresses with physiological and biochemical changes.

Dr. Sunita Parihar is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Botany, RNT PG College, Kapasan since last five years. She did her M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. She worked for her Ph.D. degree on "Biochemical and biophysical characterization of drought tolerance in Wheat".
