Changes are implemented in companies every now and then. However not all changes are successful. The difference between successful and unsuccessful changes is the effectiveness of the change process. Whether a change process is effective or not will depend on whether the change manager correctly identified the specific driver/need for change or not. This research therefore aimed at identifying the specific drivers for effective change. The research focused on commercial banks; but can also be applicable in any other industry in, addition to other factors. Identifying a specific driver for change ensures the changes put in place impacts positively on the company, and enhances its performance hence making it better placed in the competitive environment.

I am a Bsc graduate and an MBA student from JKUAT Mombasa currently working on my Project. A banker by profession with four years experience as a sales person, a teller, customer experience assistant and currently working as an account relationship manager at Commercial Bank of Africa.
