The ability of government to meet this need adequately has been a problem, thereby, has resulted in a gap in the supply and access to safe water to the people. This has resulted in communities have to depend on other unwholesome sources of water which include rainwater, streams, ponds, sachet water, groundwater (mainly through boreholes and wells) and water tanker services. This book therefore, provide information on the quality of these water sources especially hand dug wells and water tanker services.
