MEMO is a northern, grassroots community organization based in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, and receives no government or corporate funding. This inspiring story started with one man's dream, which was fueled by prayer and resulted in miracles, as vision and passion were transformed into reality through the dedication and hard work of hundreds of individuals who donated, volunteered, and carried suitcases to Cuba. It exemplifies how God's love, human compassion, resourcefulness and sweat equity trumps poverty, social injustice, bureaucracy, corruption and human greed.
