This work deals with documentary film as a tool for the analysis of creative processes, in particular the work of visual artist Juan Hernández in the land art piece: Wi Ñill: Wá Shayii. The study registers the processual tendency of the work, incorporating the film essay as a discursive resource to incite reflection on culture and strengthen regional identity in the Mexicali valley.
