R. R. Shaw grew up in the small town of Midland, Ontario, on the shore of Georgian Bay, where she lived as a child and continues to live while progressing into her adulthood. As a child she grew up with a close group of friends but was always nice to everyone around her. R. R. Shaw raised two young boys and worked as a personal support worker and found her passion for writing in her young adult life.
