Based on the determination that allows for the use of 20% distance learning in classroom teaching, through Ordinance No. 4,059, dated December 10, 2004, of the Ministry of Education (MEC), which regulates the offering of distance learning hours for classroom courses or subjects, this work is the result of research on Distance Learning (EaD) and Classroom Learning in higher education. The proposal is based on the following questions: How do tutors and students participating in distance learning view this process in relation to classroom teaching? What is their perspective on the use of distance learning in their curriculum? How do students view the moments of interaction in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), which is common in distance learning? How are they, teachers and students, dealing with technologies? Do they help the teaching-learning process? The advantages and disadvantages of this type of distance learning and its relationship with face-to-face teaching based on the use of new technologies in higher education are also highlighted.
