Metroinidazole floating pellet were prepared by extrusions, spheronization, method and drug release profile of metronidazole were investigated. Different batches of pellets were prepared by using sodium alginate and HPMCK4M and HPMC K100LV as polymer. Finally it can be concluded that, with the increasing of polymer concentration to an optimum level, the release rate (23.18%) of metronidazole was satisfactory but further increase causes decrease of metronidazole release.
