This paper presents part of the results of a doctoral thesis that investigated the influence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the cognitive and metacognitive processes involved in the study of the Oscillatory Motion in first year students of Civil Engineering when they studied Physics I. In particular, the Methodology used in the thesis will be described, since, in my humble opinion - and also that of some colleagues -, it constitutes one of the most relevant results to be further developed in the teaching of any Physics content - or of other sciences - where ICT are used...
