Álvaro Rocha holds the title of Honorary Professor and holds a D.Sc. in Information Science, Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technologies, M.Sc. in Information Management and BCs in Computer Science. He is a professor of Information Systems at the University of Lisbon-ISEG and researcher at the ADVANCE-the ISEG Centre for Advanced Research in Management. He is also vice-chair of the IEEE Portugal Section Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society Chapter and founder and editor-in-chief of two Scopus and SCIMago journals: JISEM-Journal of Information Systems Engineering & Management; and RISTI-Revista Ibérica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informação Prof. Dr. Ashok Vaseashta is the chief researcher and chairman for the International Clean Water Institute in Virginia, USA. In addition, he serves as a visiting professor at Transylvania University of Brasov, Riga Technical University, and chaired professor of Nanotechnology at the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, academician at Euro-Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences and senior strategic research advisor for several organizations. Inspired by nature and guided by societal necessities, he strives for innovations to address global challenges of the twenty-first century, such as environment, safety, security, sustainability and resiliency using advanced technological solution platforms. He is a scholar, dedicated futurist and visionary leader who provides strategic leadership to promote and advance research initiatives and priorities using data-driven decisions. He received Ph.D. from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA in 1990 followed by Kobe post-doctoral fellowship.
