The data was used to determine the size of photovoltaic generator required to produce electricity to meet the user demand. This project describes the steps followed while designing a PV system that will produce electricity for the University of Namibia (main campus) at a later stage. A 25.2 kWp grid connected PV system was designed and installed on Y-block rooftop, to meet the university daily energy demand and its annual energy output for the first year was estimated to be about 57.67 MWh.
