The PV modules always supply a maximum power as possible as dictated by surrounding operating conditions and to make sure that a particular circuit identified as Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) is engaged. Hence, to improve the efficiency of the PV energy system, it is required to follow the MPP of the solar array. A DC-DC converter is used as an MPPT in most of the applications which is controlled through a scheme that imposing the operation point of PV module on the MPP or nearer to it.
