Dee Dee feels that Mouse is so much braver than she is, and she wishes she could be more like him. Dee Dee reaches a turning point, however, when she realizes that being brave means something different for her. For Dee Dee, being brave means saying no when she is not comfortable doing something. Even if it means saying no to her best friend. Dee Dee will do many adventurous things someday, but only when she feels ready.

Autor

Veronica grew up in Escuminac, Quebec, Canada, a municipality on the north shore of the beautiful Restigouche River. Surrounded by the impressive beauty of the Bay of Chaleur and the poetic backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains, her creativity was organic. As early as she can remember, she has always had a talent for and found great joy in writing, drawing, painting, and more recently, photography.Her first published book "Dee Dee the Brave!" encompasses all of her passions. She has written and illustrated an empowering story for young readers as the main character Dee Dee discovers what bravery means for her. Having lived in numerous provinces, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Alberta, Veronica currently resides in Southwestern Ontario with her family.
