Titled The Song of the Street, Biennale für Freiburg's second edition explored the street as a political space and scene where the public sphere comes to life. In close collaboration with the invited artists and local members of the community, new formats and works of art were produced for the Biennale that explicitly tied in with the city and activated it as a field of experimentation, uncovering hidden narratives, facilitating unexpected experiences, and creating moments of dialogue and engagement.
The accompanying publication Das Lied der Straße documents the Biennale's diverse program. Selected contributions provide insights into participating artists' research processes, share actions in public settings with the readers, and invite them to immerse themselves in the feminist history of film and the street. With contributions by Maximiliane Baumgartner, Michael Koltan, Gudrun Leser, Hitsville Soldiers, Paula Kommoss, Eva Kuhn, Aaliyah Lauterkranz, Alejandra Rosenfeld, and Torch.

Unter dem Titel Das Lied der Straße widmete sich die zweite Edition der Biennale für Freiburg der Straße als politischen Raum und als Ort der gelebten Öffentlichkeit. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit den eingeladenen Künstler_innen und lokalen Akteur_innen entstanden eigens für die Biennale neue Formate und Kunstwerke, die explizite Bezüge zur Stadt herstellten und sie als Experimentierfeld aktivierten: Sie zeigten Verdecktes auf, ermöglichten unerwartete Erfahrungen und schufen Momente des Austauschs und Kontakts.
Die begleitende Publikation Das Lied der Straße bildet das vielfältige Programm der Biennale für Freiburg 2 ab. Die ausgewählten Beiträge geben Einblicke in Rechercheprozesse beteiligter Künstler_innen, lassen an Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum teilhaben und ermöglichen inhaltliche Auseinandersetzungen mit der feministischen Geschichte des Films und der Straße.
