In March 2018, the artist had an exhibition at Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz entitled "Erhellender Stoff: Gewebe aus Glasfaser. Arbeit in loco" (Illuminating Material: Fabrics made of glass fiber. Work in loco). In a field of contrasting expectations, where art simultaneously serves as lighting, the viewer is incited to take a new perspective on exhibits and exhibition space alike. Also included in the volume is an introduction to Buren's artistic oeuvre and an interview, which both explore the career and artistic ideas of one of contemporary art's most important representatives.
