Jamie Lynn Cusick is a thirty-three year old woman living with Friedreich's Ataxia, a life threatening neuro-muscular disease. She has faced the same obstacles that "Cynthia" faces. Jamie continues to live in Maryland with her parents. She is continuing her college studies and continues to write.
