So, when asked what contribution the digitization of customs procedures has made to improving the performance of Chad's customs administration? There are two opposing realities. Firstly, although the use of automatic customs clearance methods has led to a significant improvement in customs rules for processing trade in Chad, it is clear that the Chadian customs administration is not sufficiently equipped to meet the challenge posed by the very existence of trade carried out using the new computerized techniques.
