The book presents the doctoral work carried out by the author that investigated the magnetic and transport properties of two most important functional materials, namely the high-T¬c superconducting cuprates and colossal magneto resistive manganites. These two materials have immense potential in applications such as magnetic read heads and ultrra-low magnetic field sensing in biomedical or geomagnetic fields.

Autor

Abhijit Ray obtained his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was CSIR senior research fellow, post doctoral fellow at Varaibale Energy Cyclotron Centre and is a teacher of Physics. He is an experimental condensed matter physicist working in the area of solar photovoltaic, thermoelectric and materials for sensor.
