They fully intended to destroy all Nija Starships, fighters, military installations and communication satellites. Their adversary was strong, well armed and nasty to the core. They knew the battle would be horrendous and the loss of lives would be high. It was a battle that was way over due and they were headed to get it over with, one way or another.
