In order to obtain a conclusive result from the examination of the place where the violent death occurred and the lifting of the corpse, the preservation of the area to be examined and the items related to the event that occurred (objects, stains, smells, marks) is of utmost importance. The main objective of preserving a place where a crime occurred is to keep the environment as unaltered as possible, i.e., not to move and/or subtract objects from their original position (even if it is a firearm) and not to add elements that were not present at the place.
