Thus, good corporate governance practices enable companies to respect the law, play by the rules guiding business management and maintain ethics and professionalism with the highest regard when dealing with corporate information, social responsibility and shareholders' fund. The study adopted an ex-post facto research design. Census sampling was used to select 20 listed consumer goods firms on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, for a time period of 2012 to 2020.
