Governments had to enact disaster plans they never thought would be required. Isolating much of the population in their homes to prevent contamination and infection has given the environment a chance to recover from the regular activities of the human population. At the same time communication has been both hindered and expedited as a result of the situation (De Sisto et al. 2019).
