The interlocutors, as participants of a community using linguistic interaction as its modus operandi, apply a vast set of rules and linguistic behaviour patterns in order to communicate, convey information, maintain a conversation, and signal all sorts of "codes" which are indispensable in spoken interaction.

Autor

Mag. Valentina Pittracher-Terek is currently working on her PhD thesis at the University of Innsbruck. Her research interests are predominantly based in the area of applied linguistics, including bilingualism, foreign language learning, multilingualism, third language acquisition and attrition.
