Diabetes is a disease resulting from the accumulation of glucose in the blood due to either unavailability of insulin of impaired insulin receptors. Moreover, it has been reported that over ten (10) million Nigerians live with diabetes and about 5% of mortality recorded annually is due to free-radical induced diseases which include diabetes.
