This is a guidance standard, which means that it leaves it up to the user to carry out their own risk analysis and suggests ways of reducing risk. The IEC 61511 standard describes different methods for determining the safety integrity level (SIL) of an instrumented safety function. This study is being carried out at the Elmalabiod Tébessa cement plant. The aim is to control industrial risk in order to assess the SIL level and improve the operation and performance of its facilities, as well as their safety.
